Wands
Wands are the suit of fire: energy, ambition, creativity, desire and will. They are what you are driven to do, and what you burn for. The cards show living staffs, still sprouting leaves, because this is the suit of things that grow and spread: an idea, a venture, a passion, a quarrel.
Wands move fast. A spread full of them is a spread full of action: things starting, competing, travelling, winning and burning out. Their gift is momentum; their shadow is haste, ego and the fire that consumes whoever is holding it.

Reading the Wands
When Wands dominate
The question is about what you want and whether you will go after it. Energy is high; the risk is scattering it. Pick the one fire worth feeding.
Reversed Wands
The fire is blocked, smouldering or out of control: delay, frustration, burnout, or a temper with nowhere to go. Ask where the energy is leaking.
In timing
Wands are the quickest suit. Many readers count them in days or weeks.
