Daily pull

Card of the day

One card for today, drawn from the full Rider–Waite–Smith deck. Everyone who opens this page on the same date sees the same card; it changes at midnight where you are, and no card comes round again for 78 days.

How to use a daily card

Ask a small question

“What should I pay attention to today?” is the classic. The card is a lens for the day, not a forecast of it.

Carry it with you

Look at the picture for a minute before you go. By evening you will usually know which detail was the point.

Draw your own

If you have a deck, pull a card and look it up. The one-card spread page says more, and the table will hold it for you.

Questions about the daily card

How is the card of the day chosen?

From the date. The 78 cards sit in one fixed shuffled order, and each day takes the next card, so no card comes round again for 78 days. Nothing is random and nothing is stored: open the page on the same date anywhere in the world, in English or in Arabic, and it is the same card.

Why does everyone get the same card?

Because a daily card is a lens for the day, not a private message, and sharing one card with everyone else who looked today is part of the point. For a card that is yours alone, draw one from your own deck or let the table deal one.

What if the card of the day is a hard one?

The Tower, the Ten of Swords and the Three of Swords come round like every other card. Read them as weather, not as a sentence: what the day may ask of you, and the advice line under the card is written for exactly that.

Can the daily card be reversed?

Here it is always upright, so the day has one plain meaning. If you draw your own daily card and it comes out reversed, read it as the same energy blocked, delayed or turned inward; the guide to reversed cards says how. How reversed cards are read →
