Six of Wands · Minor Arcana
Six of Wands
Victory, recognition, success, pride.
Upright
The Six of Wands is victory that other people can see. It speaks of success, recognition, public praise and the confidence of having won something you worked for. The crowd is real; take the applause. The card can also be a promise: the outcome is going your way, and it will be noticed.
Reversed
Reversed, the parade is missing something. It marks a fall from grace, ego getting ahead of achievement, or success that goes unrecognised. It can also warn of confidence built on other people's praise. Win for the right reasons.
On the card
A rider crowned with laurel sits on a white horse in a procession, holding a wand topped with a wreath. People walk alongside with more wands raised, cheering.
In love
Pride in each other, a relationship others admire, a partner who celebrates you.
Needing to be admired, or feeling unseen by the person you want to see you.
At work
A promotion, an award, a win in public. Your reputation grows.
Overlooked for recognition, or a win that turned sour. Check your motives, and theirs.
As advice
Accept the recognition gracefully. You earned it.
Do the work for its own sake for a while. The applause will find you again.
