Seven cards in an arc, read from left to right. The horseshoe walks from the past through the present and the hidden factors to advice and an outcome, which makes it a good spread for a specific problem you want to see from every side.

Reading it well
Left to right
Walk the arc in order. The advice card (6) is the one to sit with; the outcome (7) assumes you take it.
Hidden influences
Position 3 is often the surprise of the reading. A court card there is usually a person you have not counted.
An example reading
“How do I get past this setback?”
The Five of Cups is the loss still being mourned, and the Four of Swords shows you resting, rightly. The High Priestess among the hidden influences says you already know what the setback taught you. The obstacle is the Nine of Swords, night-time worry. The Queen of Pentacles among the others is someone offering practical help: take it. The advice is Strength, patience with yourself, and the outcome is the Star.
