Two of Swords · Minor Arcana
Two of Swords
Stalemate, difficult choice, blocked emotions.
Upright
The Two of Swords is the choice you are refusing to make. It speaks of stalemate, indecision, blocked feelings and the fragile calm of keeping two options balanced by never choosing either. The blindfold is self-applied. The card asks you to take it off — the sea behind you holds the answer you already know.
Reversed
Reversed, the blindfold slips. It marks indecision lifting, a truth surfacing, or the opposite: information overload and a choice forced before you are ready. Either way, the stalemate is ending.
On the card
A blindfolded woman sits on a stone bench by the sea holding two crossed swords over her chest. A crescent moon hangs in the sky behind her.
In love
Avoiding a decision about the relationship, or refusing to see what is in front of you.
A decision finally made, or a truth you can no longer ignore.
At work
Sitting on the fence, blocked by two equal options. Someone must decide, and it is you.
The deadlock breaks — sometimes by force. Be ready with your answer.
As advice
Take the blindfold off. Not choosing is a choice with worse odds.
Feel it rather than think it. The head has had its turn.
