Upright

The Ace of Cups is the heart opening. It speaks of new love, compassion, creative and spiritual overflow — feeling so full that it spills into everything around you. This can be a new relationship, a birth, a reconciliation, or simply the return of the capacity to feel. Take the cup. It is offered freely.

Reversed

Reversed, the cup is empty or upside down. It marks blocked emotion, repressed feelings, an offer of love not accepted, or a well that has run dry. Ask what has been closing your heart, and whether it still needs to.

On the card

A hand emerges from a cloud holding a golden cup that overflows in five streams into a lily pond. A white dove descends toward it carrying a wafer marked with a cross.

In love

New love, or a deepening that feels like starting again. Say yes.

Emotional unavailability — yours or theirs. Nothing can be poured into a closed cup.

At work

Creative inspiration, a role you love, a team where you feel cared for.

Emotionally drained by work, or a creative block. Refill before you pour.

As advice

Lead with the heart. It is fuller than you think.

Let yourself feel it. Numbness is not safety.
